From the composer:
 
The work will take inspiration from my personal memories of long road trips that I’ve taken. The work will depict constant motion, vastness, nostalgia, a sense of expectancy, and excitement. In the process of writing, I’ve found myself thinking a lot about Aaron Copland's music and being inspired by the textures and soundscapes in his music.
